Ranbir is reviving RK Studios to honor the 100th birth anniversary of Raj Kapoor in December 2025.
The rumored film would be the first major project from the newly reactivated RK Films.
Reports suggest that the upcoming movie would be a family drama, and Mukerji, Kapoor, and Padukone have already blocked dates to begin work after the Diwali festival.
This project would reunite the same trio that created the blockbuster 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
The reunion has created significant buzz among fans.
While the new project is said to be a family drama, some fans speculate it could be a sequel to Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Ranbir himself mentioned in 2023 that Mukerji had a story idea for a sequel that would explore where the main characters are 10 years later.
However, this new project is reportedly separate from the Brahmāstra films, and no official announcement has been made by the actors, the director, or the production house.
An official announcement is expected to be made in December 2025 to coincide with the studio’s revival.
