The Ministry of Information has strongly dismissed as “completely fabricated” a report claiming Pakistan plans to send troops to Gaza under a secret arrangement involving the United States’ CIA and Israel’s Mossad.
The statement came after Indian outlet First Post, citing CNN-News18, alleged that Pakistan was preparing to deploy 20,000 troops to Gaza following secret meetings between Chief of Army Staff Gen. Asim Munir and senior intelligence officials from Israel and the US.
The report also claimed that Pakistani forces would help neutralise Hamas fighters and stabilise the territory in exchange for economic incentives.
Rejecting the claims, the information ministry said no such meetings, discussions, or agreements had taken place. It reaffirmed that Pakistan neither recognises Israel nor maintains any diplomatic or military ties with it. The ministry underscored Islamabad’s “clear and principled stance” on Palestinian self-determination.
It further clarified that neither the government nor the military had issued or verified any plan for deployment in Gaza.
The ministry accused CNN-News18 of a “history of spreading anti-Pakistan disinformation” and called the entire report “a manufactured propaganda piece” lacking any factual or institutional basis.
