iPhone 16 Pro users in Pakistan will now be able to pay PTA registration tax in easy monthly installments instead of paying a large amount at once to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
This facility has been introduced by Bank Alfalah at zero percent interest (0% interest) so that users can easily register their mobile phones.
Through Bank Alfalah’s ‘Alfa’ app, users can now pay the PTA tax for iPhone 16 Pro in installments. This facility is available only for Bank Alfalah credit card holders.
According to the installment details, the monthly installment for the 36-month plan is Rs 7,443, for 24 months Rs 9,602, for 12 months Rs 16,116, and for 9 months Rs 20,467.
Similarly, for 6 months the installment is Rs 26,116 and for 3 months Rs 52,233, with no interest applied. However, a 5% processing fee will be charged on the 0% markup plan.
To avail of this facility, users can visit the ‘Alfa Mall’ website or app and enter their phone’s IMEI number, name, and CNIC (national identity card number). After that, through the “Buy Now, Pay Later” option, they can select the installment plan.
It should be noted that the iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, Apple A18 Pro chip, 8GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, 48-megapixel camera setup, and iOS 18.
According to technology experts, this move will provide convenience to users fond of expensive smartphones and is expected to increase the trend of legal PTA registration.
