Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s romance drama Param Sundari has turned out to be a box-office success, even though it attracted divided opinion and some criticism for its handling of Kerala and Malayali culture.
Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, the film is about Param (Sidharth Malhotra), a spirited Punjabi guy from Delhi, who goes on a mission to discover his soulmate via an AI-based app for dating.
His quest takes him to Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a girl from Kerala. A lighthearted cultural clash that starts transforming itself into a romantic love story full of warmth, laughter, and emotion.
Supporting them are Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Innayat Verma, all of whom enhance the depth of the film’s storyline.
OTT Release
On the online front, Prime Video made the announcement on Friday of the film’s OTT release on its official Instagram page. Sharing vibrant stills of Sidharth and Janhvi’s on-screen chemistry, the platform wrote:
“Param is in love with Sundari, and we are in love with Param Sundari 🥰 #ParamSundariOnPrime.”
The film is now available for streaming on Prime Video from October 24, giving audiences another chance to experience this cross-cultural romance.
