Shaan Shahid is all set to make a notable comeback to Punjabi cinema with an action movie called Bullah.
The upcoming Punjabi action film starring Shaan Shahid and Sarah Loren (also known as Mona Liza).
Shaan was last seen in his self-directed film Zarrar (2022), while Sarah Loren was last seen in Ishrat: Made in China (2022).
The director, Shoaib Khan, describes the film as the “rebirth” of the historical Punjabi Sufi saint and poet Bulleh Shah in a modern-day setting, with Shaan Shahid playing the protagonist, Bullah.
The aim of the film is to be a “mirror,” making an impact on the audience by encouraging introspection.
It is an action film with a strong focus on a meaningful story, a common theme with writer Nasir Adeeb’s previous work on The Legend of Maula Jatt.
In addition to Shaan Shahid and Sarah Loren, the ensemble cast includes Saleem Sheikh, Naeema Butt, Adnan Butt, Ali Josh, and Mahum Mirza.
The film is produced by Shaky Films and is currently in the shooting phase at Bari Studios in Lahore. The first phase of production has recently wrapped up.
The movie is slated for a worldwide release in 2026.
Director Shoaib Khan hopes the film will make a significant impact on its viewers, inspiring a “shift, a question, or a spark within” those who watch it.
