Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and a leading global philanthropist through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is reportedly set to appear in the Indian television show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 in a special three-episode cameo.
Starplus’s official Instagram confirmed the reports circulating around social media that Gates will appear via video call in a storyline focusing on maternal and newborn health.

Gates will discuss maternal and newborn health awareness with the lead character, Tulsi Virani, played by Smriti Irani.
Gates will appear as himself to highlight the work of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
His interaction with Smriti Irani’s character, Tulsi, will be via video call, and he reportedly even greets her with “Jai Shri Krishna.”
The cameo is designed to blend entertainment with social awareness, focusing on critical public health issues like the health and well-being of pregnant women and newborns.
This marks Gates’ Indian television debut and his second-ever appearance on a fictional TV show, after The Big Bang Theory.
The episodes featuring Bill Gates were set to air on Star Plus and stream on JioHotstar around October 23-25, 2025.
