Islamabad SP commits suicide

It has been reported that SP (Superintendent of Police) Adeel Akbar of the Industrial Area in Islamabad shot himself on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

According to initial reports, SP Akbar sustained a gunshot wound and was immediately transferred to the hospital, where he reportedly succumbed to his injuries.

Sources indicate that he snatched a weapon from his security guard before shooting himself in the chest after receiving a phone call.

The security guard and other personnel present at the scene have been taken into custody for questioning, and an investigation, including the retrieval of his mobile phone data, is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
