Islamabad police have arrested two men for allegedly gang raping a woman in a flat of ‘Centaurus Mall’ after calling her there under the pretext of offering a job. The incident took place within the limits of Margalla police station.
According to the police, the victim, identified as A, was called to Flat No. 606 of Tower A of Centaurus Mall by the accused, Faisal Jalal and Syed Hafeezullah. When the woman arrived, both of them allegedly raped her and also made a video of her.
The woman called the police helpline immediately after the incident. Upon receiving the information, Assistant Sub-Inspector Khalid and SHO Saleem Raza reached the spot and arrested both the accused on the spot. Later, they were shifted to Margalla police station for further investigation.
According to the police, the victim, a married woman, was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medical examination, where her medical check-up was completed. The police have registered an FIR based on the details of the incident.
According to the FIR, the accused called the woman to the flat on the pretext of offering her a job and then forcibly raped her. When the woman resisted, she was tortured.
According to the report, the woman tried to lock herself in a room, but the accused broke down the door and attacked her again, threatening her with dire consequences if she contacted the police.
Police officials said that the investigation into the matter is ongoing and justice will be ensured. Higher officials have also taken notice of the incident and have directed that the case be processed in a transparent manner.
