A heartbreaking tragedy took place in Karachi’s North Nazimabad Block G Kausar Niazi Colony, where a brutal father killed his two young daughters, media reported on Tuesday.
According to the police, the accused was identified as Akbar, son of Abdul Sattar, and arrested at the scene.
As per details, the accused Akbar slaughtered his 11-year-old daughter Alia and 10-year-old Zainab. Initial investigation revealed that the accused was suffering from severe financial pressure and debts. He was unemployed for a long time and was under mental stress due to not being able to pay the committee dues.
According to the authorities, the accused has six children, including a son and five daughters. The deceased Zainab and Alia were the third and fourth daughters. The police’s crime scene unit reached the spot and collected evidence.
The police have registered a murder case and started further investigation, while the bodies have been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
Locals said that the accused had appeared to be in serious distress for the past several days and had expressed his financial situation several times.
