The Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Karachi, a subsidiary of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), in collaboration with Sindh Rangers, conducted a joint raid in the Sohrab Goth area of Karachi and recovered foreign goods worth crores of rupees.
According to the FBR, the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) team of the Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Karachi, launched the operation based on credible intelligence. The raid, carried out during the night between October 16 and 17, 2025, targeted individuals involved in the illegal trade of smuggled foreign cigarettes, gutka, and other prohibited items.
The operation was conducted at shop-like warehouses located near Al-Asif Square in Sohrab Goth, where a significant quantity of contraband was seized.
According to the official statement, the confiscated items included:

8,509 sticks of foreign-brand cigarettes

1,829 packets of foreign-brand gutka

327 packets of Indian-made snuff

92 bottles of Iranian edible oil
The total value of the seized goods is estimated at approximately Rs 32.63 million.
The FBR emphasized that Customs Enforcement remains committed to curbing smuggling and safeguarding the national economy. It reiterated that strict action will continue against organized networks involved in illegal trade.
