Punjab on Saturday successfully tested an anti-smog gun to improve air quality.
The spokesperson of the Environmental Protection Force said that a 70 percent reduction in air pollution has been recorded with the use of smog guns.
“The use of smog guns in air pollution in Kahna has yielded successful results,” he added. The use of smog guns in Kahna has reduced the air quality index from 666 to 170.
The spokesperson said that the formal use of anti-smog guns was the first experiment in Kahna, which proved successful.
The Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, congratulated the team of the Environmental Protection Force and said, that Alhamdulillah! Punjab is at the forefront in public service and the use of modern technology.
Taking to her X handle, Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb called the experiment a “remarkable success” in their environmental efforts.
She added that the 70% decrease in air pollution has been scientifically analysed and confirmed by the advanced environmental monitoring system.
