Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly contacted Zimbabwe Cricket Board for participating in the T20 tri-series after Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced its team withdrawal from the series to be played next month in Pakistan.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board has contacted the Zimbabwe Cricket Board as a replacement team, after which the tri-nation series is now likely to be played between Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe.
Sources say that the tri-nation series is scheduled in Pakistan in November 2025, but now the new schedule is expected to be announced soon.
It should be noted that the Afghanistan Cricket Board recently announced its withdrawal from the tri-nation series to be held in Pakistan in November. The tri-series T20 tournament in Pakistan is scheduled from November 17 to 29.
Afghanistan has claimed that three local Afghan cricketers were killed in a Pakistani airstrike on Friday. It is worth mentioning here that there has been a conflict between the two nations on the Durand Line for many days.
