A high-level Pakistani delegation has arrived in Doha. According to the Foreign Office, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif is leading the delegation, which will hold talks with the Taliban over border tensions.
The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that Defence Minister Khawaja Asif will lead the delegation, and discussions will be held with the Afghan Taliban for the immediate cessation of cross-border terrorism.
According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan’s objective is not tension but peace and stability. Pakistan has urged the Afghan Taliban to uphold their international commitments and emphasized verifiable action against terrorist organizations.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan has demanded action against the TTP, BLA, and other groups. Pakistan also appreciated Qatar’s mediation efforts, expressing hope that the talks will contribute to peace and stability in the region.
It is worth noting that earlier, during the night between October 11 and 12, Pakistani citizens were targeted in an act of aggression, to which the Pakistan Army strongly responded by targeting enemy posts.
