The deadly game of heavy traffic continues on Karachi’s roads. In various accidents, 2 people were killed, after which enraged citizens broke the windows of 2 trucks and set one on fire.
The first incident took place near Liaquatabad No. 10 in Karachi, where a speeding truck ran over a motorcyclist, resulting in the death of a person identified as 55-year-old Sabir.
After the incident, angry people pelted stones and broke the truck’s windows; they also set the truck on fire. Citizens also pelted stones at another heavy truck passing nearby and broke its windows.
Police stated that the truck driver fled from the scene, and efforts are being made to arrest him.
Meanwhile, near Malir Model Colony, a truck driver also hit motorcyclists, resulting in the death of one person. Two people were injured in the incident, and their condition is reported to be critical.
In Malir Model Colony as well, angry people broke the truck’s windows, assaulted the driver, while the police took the truck driver into custody and transferred him to the police station.
