Mari Energies has announced the discovery of oil and gas from Daharki city in Sindh, which has increased the gas reserves, as reported by national media on Friday.
According to the statement issued by Mari Energies, oil and gas reserves have been discovered from Daharki city in Ghotki district of Sindh.
Mari Energies said the discovery was made from the Mari Ghazij CFB-1 exploration well. Mari Energies is the operator with 100% rights of the Mari Development and Production Lease.
The FB-1 exploration well was drilled targeting oil-bearing zones. During testing, the well produced 305 barrels of oil per day and 3 million cubic feet of gas per day, according to the statement.
According to Mari Energies, the company is operating Pakistan’s largest gas reservoir in the Daharki Mari Field and, with approximately a 30% market share, is the country’s largest gas-producing company.
