Islamabad: The district administration has sealed several offices of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in different areas of the federal capital, including Bhara Kahu and Sawan.
According to sources, the action was taken as part of a broader crackdown against the extremist group.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has decided to recommend a formal ban on the organization to the federal government.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting on law and order chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, where it was also agreed that all TLP social media accounts will be blocked, bank accounts frozen, and the party’s properties and assets handed over to the Auqaf Department.
Additionally, TLP’s top leadership will be placed on the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).
