The Saudi riyal to Pakistani rupee exchange rate holds major significance for Pakistan due to remittances from millions of overseas workers in Saudi Arabia.
A stronger riyal increases the value of remittances, supporting Pakistan’s economy, boosting foreign reserves, and helping stabilize the national currency against inflationary pressures.
Currency exchange plays a vital role in the global economy and holds great significance for countries like Pakistan. It involves converting one country’s currency into another, enabling international trade, travel, and investment. For Pakistan, currency exchange helps determine the value of the Pakistani rupee against foreign currencies, such as the US dollar or the UAE dirham.
Meanwhile, the worker remittances in September 2025 witnessed an 11.3 percent increase as the inflows stood at $3.2 billion, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data showed.

Moreover, workers’ remittances increased by 8.4 percent to $9.5 billion during the first quarter of this fiscal year, compared to $8.8 billion received during the same period last year.
