Tanzemat-e-Ahlesunnat has announced a nationwide protest and a full-scale strike on Friday, October 17, against the police crackdown on  Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in Muridke.

The joint statement said that the Muridke incident was the darkest day in the history of Pakistan and was tantamount to genocide of the Sunnis.

The government has been demanded to immediately form a commission for an independent judicial investigation into the incident and to initiate fruitful negotiations with Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan.
