Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has warned that if reports of stray dogs being killed are confirmed, criminal proceedings will be initiated against the Islamabad administration.
During the hearing of a petition against the killing of stray dogs, the court sought responses from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Municipal Corporation Islamabad (MCI).
An eyewitness woman informed the court that on October 9, she saw hundreds of dead dogs inside a vehicle near the CDA office.
The court remarked that if officials are found responsible for killing the animals, legal action will be taken against those involved.
The court also directed the administration to submit a detailed report on the October 9 incident.
