After U.S. President Donald Trump announced the first phase of the peace plan between Israel and Hamas, Hamas issued its first official statement.
Hamas said that an agreement has been reached that includes provisions for ending the war in Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the delivery of aid, and the exchange of prisoners.
Hamas called on the U.S. President, Arab mediators, and international parties to ensure that Israel fully complies with all the terms of the agreement and is prevented from any delay or breach of commitments.
After the signing of the agreement between Israel and Hamas, Netanyahu issued a brief statement saying that the Israeli government is determined to ensure the safe return of its citizens and that “we will bring back all our hostages.”
According to Israeli media, under the agreement, Hamas will release all 20 living hostages within 72 hours. The release of Israeli hostages is expected on Saturday or Sunday.
