After the video of a teacher brutally torturing a disabled child at a rehabilitation center went viral, a case has been registered. Following the report of the incident, the rehabilitation center has suspended the teacher.
According to details, an incident of torture on a disabled child has surfaced at a rehabilitation center located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 6, Karachi.
A citizen named Altaf Hussain has filed a case against the rehabilitation center. The complainant stated that yesterday a video went viral on social media, in which a teacher was seen mercilessly beating a disabled child inside the Autism Care and Rehabilitation Organization.
The complainant stated that the center provides training and rehabilitation facilities for disabled children, however, the concerned teacher subjected the disabled child to severe torture. After reviewing the video, he went to the police station for registration of the case.
Altaf Hussain alleged that the institution tried to cover up the incident and facilitated the concerned teacher. He demanded strict legal action against both the teacher involved in the torture and the institution. According to the police, after registering the case, investigation and legal proceedings have been initiated.
