The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light to moderate rain in Karachi today, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 36°C.
According to details, the PMD stated that the port city will receive more rain today; however, the intensity is expected to remain light to mild.
As per the Met Office, the minimum temperature in the city will be around 26°C, while the maximum will reach 36°C. Currently, the humidity level in the air is 74%.
The Met Office has also predicted partly cloudy and humid weather in the city for the next 24 hours.
The Met Office on Wednesday forecast strong winds, rain, and thunderstorms in many parts of the country, including Rawalpindi and Islamabad, from October 2 to 7.
According to details, the department has predicted rain and hailstorms in Punjab and Islamabad from October 3 to 6.
Similarly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to receive rainfall from October 2 to 7, with strong winds and hailstorms likely in some areas.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, rainfall is expected on October 2 and 3, while snowfall is also possible in Kashmir from October 4 to 7, according to the Met Department.
The forecast also includes rainfall in various districts of Sindh starting tonight through October 3.
Likewise, parts of Balochistan may experience rain and stormy winds from October 4 to 6.
The department has warned of urban flooding in low-lying areas and a risk of flash floods in streams and rivers.
The report also notes that snowfall in the upper mountainous regions could lead to a significant drop in temperatures. The Meteorological Department has advised relevant authorities to remain on alert.
