The Sindh government has made a final decision to provide free electric scooties to women and female students beginning this week.
An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon regarding the “Pink Scooty Program.” The meeting was attended by Transport Secretary Asad Zamin, Managing Director of Sindh Mass Transit Authority Kanwal Bhutto, and other senior officials.
Memon stated that this initiative is a revolutionary step for women. The scheme is being launched especially for those women who rely on public transport for their daily commute. The electric scooties will not only provide convenient travel but will also help save both time and money.
The data of applicants is being compiled by the Sindh Mass Transit Authority, and the allotment of scotees will be done transparently and strictly on merit. Memon urged all female students and working women to fully benefit from this opportunity.
