Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari and services chiefs all received gifts as the Cabinet Division has released the Toshakhana record for the period from January 1 to June 30, 2025.
During the first half of the calendar year 2025, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari received valuable gifts. Chiefs of the Army, Air Force, and Navy also received gifts during this period.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif were among the recipients, along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Economic Affairs Minister Ahsan Cheema.
Chief of General Staff Syed Amir Raza, Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz, NAB Chairman Lt Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmed, the Commerce Minister, and the Secretary of Commerce were also listed as gift recipients.
Others on the list include Malik Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, Wahab Riaz, Zain Asim, and Usman Bajwa.
Several notable figures, including Tariq Fatemi and Khawaja Imran Nazir, were also mentioned. Most gifts were presented to Pakistani officials by high-ranking foreign dignitaries.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan presented a shield to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while FBR Chairman Rashid Langrial also gifted a shield to the PM.
Gifts received during this period included decorative items, watches, electric vehicles, ready-made carpets, bedsheets, prayer mats, tablecloths, coffee sets, tea sets, ties, and other miscellaneous items.
All recipients submitted their gifts to the Toshakhana, and the Cabinet Division is currently assessing their value, with the evaluation process ongoing.
Previously, the Shehbaz-led government had already made public the Toshakhana records from 2002 to December 31, 2024, and records from 1997 to 2001 had also been released.
