Five people were killed in a remote-controlled bomb attack on a vehicle in a border area near the city of Turbat in Balochistan province.
According to details, the attack took place in the border area of Mand-Shand, where a vehicle was targeted using a remote-controlled explosive device. Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
Terrorists targeted the vehicle with an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Shand area, located between Dasht and Mand tehsils of Kech district.
This attack is part of the ongoing wave of terrorism in Balochistan, where hostile elements continue to carry out such violent acts.
Last week, fifteen people were killed and more than 30 others were wounded in a suicide bombing near a political rally of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) in Quetta.
Provincial authorities said that the death toll had risen to 15. The Islamic State militant group said it carried out the attack.
The suicide bomber could not reach the rally venue due to tight security, Balochistan health minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar said.
