Yemen’s Houthi movement has claimed responsibility for another missile attack on Israel, saying the weapon carried a cluster bomb warhead.
According to a report by The Times of Israel, the Houthis stated they had launched a ballistic missile targeting several sensitive sites in Tel Aviv with a cluster bomb warhead.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), in a statement, said its defense systems successfully intercepted the missile but did not comment on the Houthi claim that the missile was equipped with a cluster bomb warhead.
No casualties or damage have been reported from the incident, but the attack triggered air-raid sirens at around 3:45 a.m. across Tel Aviv and several central Israeli cities and communities.
The Houthis have in recent weeks launched several missiles at Israel, also claiming they were armed with cluster bomb warheads — all of which the IDF says it has intercepted.
