In view of rainfall in Karachi, a holiday has been announced in schools today. Commissioner Karachi has said that all educational institutions in the city will remain closed today.
According to details, a notification for a holiday in schools has also been issued in view of rainfall in Karachi. Examinations scheduled to be held today at Dow University have also been postponed, and new dates will be announced later.
It should be remembered that light and heavy rainfall is continuing intermittently in different areas of Karachi.
Since Tuesday morning, intermittent light and heavy rainfall has been occurring in most areas of the city, including Malir, Quaidabad, Shah Faisal Colony, Surjani Town, Safora, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Sohrab Goth, Saddar, Clifton, and Shahrah-e-Faisal.
From 8 p.m. on Tuesday night, a heavy spell of rainfall began, due to which water accumulated in areas including Shahrah-e-Faisal, near Drigh Road underpass, Model Colony, Rashid Minhas Road, NIPA, Safora, and Malir, affecting the flow of traffic.
Due to the rainfall, water accumulated on various roads of the city, while flood in Lyari Nadi and other streams caused water to enter residential areas.
