Karachi police on Tuesday said they arrested the suspect in connection with the rape of a 7-year-old girl in PNT Colony area of Karachi’s Gizri.
The victim girl was raped by the janitor of a school, according to the police.
Police said that a case has been registered against the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody following the filing of a First Information Report (FIR). He will be presented in court for further legal proceedings.
In a similar incident last year’s August, a five-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a sanitation worker at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Lahore.
According to Lahore police, the sanitation worker committed the heinous crime, the child’s cries caught the attention of nearby patients’ attendants who overpowered him and handed him over to police after giving him a sound thrashing.
