KASUR: Renowned singer and humanitarian Hadiqa Kiani has launched an urgent appeal for aid after visiting flood-hit areas of Kasur, Punjab.
In a heartfelt video message shared on Instagram, she called on the public to donate food, clothing, bedding, and medicines to support families devastated by the disaster.
With winter approaching, Kiani stressed the urgent need for jackets and blankets to protect displaced families from the harsh weather.
She also appealed to doctors and healthcare professionals to volunteer at medical camps, warning that malaria and other diseases are spreading rapidly in flood-affected areas.
Highlighting the plight of rural communities, Kiani noted that livestock — a primary source of income for many families — has been severely affected. She said most animals have either perished or urgently require food, medicine, and veterinary care.
Kiani, who has long been active in humanitarian efforts, urged collective action to save lives, both human and animal, in the flood-ravaged region.
