Under the influence of the global market, the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are likely to increase from September 1st.
During the last 13 days, crude oil prices have increased in the global market, with British Brent trading from $65.85 to $67.47 per barrel.
During the last 13 days, US crude oil has become more expensive by $1.64 per barrel and has increased from $61.98 to $63.62 per barrel.
The prices of petroleum products in the country will be revised on August 31. OGRA will send the summary of the petroleum price determination to the government on August 31.
After the final approval of the prices of petroleum products by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Ministry of Finance will issue a notification of the prices.
It remains unclear how much the prices will increase; however, according to sources, the prices may increase slightly or the government will maintain the prices.
