In Muzaffargarh, Punjab, two influential individuals assaulted and opened fire on a young man after he tried to stop them from harassing his sister, leaving him seriously injured. The accused also cut his leg.
According to details, the young man’s other leg was also severely affected due to the assault by the influential individuals. The young man had intervened when the accused were harassing his sister.
The injured young man’s mother has appealed to senior authorities for justice. She said that the accused used to harass her daughter and shout at her. On August 18, when her son tried to stop them, the accused subjected him to brutal violence, which left him disabled.
The mother stated that she is seeking justice and expects the police to provide justice for her son. According to the police, a case has been registered at the Qureshi Police Station, and one suspect has been arrested.
It is worth noting that this is not the first case of harassment and extreme violence in Punjab. In the past, the police have taken strict legal action to eradicate similar crimes. Authorities have stated that the accused will be given a severe punishment.
