Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was warmly welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar upon his arrival at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to details, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Islamabad, where Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar warmly received him at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both leaders exchanged cordial handshakes, and on this occasion, children dressed in traditional attire also welcomed the esteemed guest.
The sixth round of the Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue will be held today in Islamabad, with the joint chairmanship of Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Chinese counterpart.
The purpose of the talks is to further deepen the year-round strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries and promote all aspects of bilateral cooperation.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the talks will include discussions on strategic, political, economic, defense, and security matters. Measures to enhance trade, investment, cultural cooperation, and people-to-people contacts will also be considered. Reaffirming the joint commitment to regional peace, development, and stability is also part of the agenda.
For the annual Strategic Dialogue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also sought proposals from relevant ministries and institutions.
It is noteworthy that the fifth round of this negotiation process was held on May 15, 2024, in Beijing. Yesterday, a high-level delegation led by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Islamabad. They will hold important meetings, including the sixth Strategic Dialogue between Pakistan and China.
