Brad Pitt’s ‘F1’ is not only the highest-grossing movie of his career but also one of the best Hollywood releases of the year.
Following its theatrical debut on June 27, 2025, the sports drama earned rave reviews from both critics and audiences. With an impressive 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.9/10 score on IMDb, the Formula One racing film has crossed $552 million at the global box office, making it the highest-grossing original feature of the year and Apple’s biggest film to date.

Brad Pitt takes the wheel in F1, portraying veteran racer Sonny Hayes, who makes a dramatic comeback to the Formula One circuit decades after a career-ending crash in the 1990s. Now working as a driver-for-hire, Hayes joins a struggling F1 team in an effort to steer it away from collapse.

The film also stars Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and others. Directed by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski, F1 is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt himself, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner of Plan B (a Mediawan company), and Chad Oman.
