The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has advised citizens to regularly check the number of SIMs registered against their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) through its official platforms.
“Handing over your SIM card to someone else is considered a legal offense, as any SIM registered in your name can potentially be misused for criminal activities,” the PTA said in its message.
Any unauthorized or unknown SIMs should be blocked immediately to prevent misuse.
