The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the results of the 2025 annual examinations for Class XII (Pre-Engineering Science Group), with female students clinching all three top positions.
Chairman of the Karachi Inter Board, Faqeer Muhammad Lakho, while announcing the results, revealed that the top three positions in the Pre-Engineering group have all been secured by female students. He further stated that the first position was shared jointly by two students.
According to details, the first position was secured jointly by Laiba Ansari, daughter of Muhammad Asim Abdul Aziz (Roll No. 219251) from Usman Public School Campus I, and Syeda Anzila Haider Zaidi, daughter of Syed Aqeel Haider Zaidi (Roll No. 221331) from BAMM PECHS Government College for Women. Both students scored 1019 marks out of 1100, earning an A-1 grade.
The second position was obtained by Aizal Marha, daughter of Zubair Arif (Roll No. 221211) from BAMM PECHS Government College for Women, who secured 1014 marks with an A-1 grade. Meanwhile, the third position went to Hafsa Imran, daughter of Imran (Roll No. 219422) from Hamdard Intermediate College for Science and Commerce, Block-H, North Nazimabad, with 1010 marks and an A-1 grade.
Controller of Examinations, Zarina Rashid, while sharing further details, informed that 21,617 candidates were registered, of which 21,019 appeared in the exams, and 11,547 students passed, resulting in an overall success rate of 54.94 percent.
Out of the successful candidates, 1,035 secured A-1 grades, 1,762 obtained A grades, 2,351 received B grades, 2,938 earned C grades, 3,124 achieved D grades, while 296 managed to secure E grades.

Congratulating the successful students, Chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho announced that once the results of all groups are declared, the board will organize a special ceremony to honor the top position holders, where parents, teachers, and media representatives will also be invited.
It is noteworthy that in the Pre-Medical examinations held earlier, female students had also secured all the top three positions, once again highlighting their academic excellence in Karachi.
