According to details, in Azad Kashmir, due to rains, it has been announced to keep educational institutions closed for 2 days. A notification issued by the government states that in Azad Kashmir, due to rains, holidays in educational institutions have been announced for August 15 and 16.
The notification stated that in view of rain and landsliding, government and private schools in Azad Kashmir will remain closed for 2 days.
Earlier, in Naseerabad Tehsil of the capital Muzaffarabad of Azad Kashmir, after a cloudburst, 6 members of the same family died due to a flood wave. Meanwhile, in Bagh, streams and nullahs overflowed due to heavy rain, while in Samahni, the Bhimber stream has high-level flooding.
On the other hand, in Gilgit-Baltistan, 10 people died due to rain, landsliding, and flooding.
In view of the sensitivity of the situation and the seriousness of the circumstances, it has been decided to keep educational institutions closed for 2 days. Authorities believe that with improvement in weather conditions, the educational situation will also return to normal.
