Pakistan’s renowned folk singer Sanam Marvi, while speaking about criticism from people on social media, stated that if she performs acts of worship, people troll her by saying, “Now you will also go for Umrah or Hajj?”
According to details, Sanam Marvi recently appeared on a private TV channel’s morning show, where veteran actress Bushra Ansari was also a guest. During the program, singer Sanam Marvi answered various questions.
While speaking in the program, Sanam Marvi said that due to music, she faces a lot of trolling on social media. “I am just like ordinary people. I also feel the desire to worship, but people don’t understand that,” she said.

The singer stated that most people criticize her for performing worship because of her singing career, and they post inappropriate comments on her posts. If she goes for Umrah, Hajj, or other pilgrimages, people comment, “Now you will also go for Umrah or Hajj?”
According to the singer, similarly, when she visits Karbala for pilgrimage, users taunt her as well. “After returning from visiting Karbala or performing Umrah, when I resume my work, I receive taunts like, ‘You just came back from Umrah, and now you’re doing this work again.’”
Sanam Marvi said, “Singing is my profession, my livelihood; I have to do it.”
