First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has termed the unemployment of millions of people an injustice and called the government’s decision to close utility stores regrettable.
According to details, while expressing her views during the Question Hour in the National Assembly, Aseefa Bhutto said that it is with regret that I have learned that millions of people are being made unemployed. The government’s decision to close utility stores is regrettable. The closure of utility stores has left millions unemployed and their families affected.
The First Lady said that this is an injustice and we demand an answer from the government on this. We request the government to reconsider this matter. This is an extremely concerning issue. The federal government should pay attention to this matter; it concerns the economic future of the people.
It should be noted that earlier, on the instructions of the federal government, the operations of the Utility Stores Corporation across the country were completely shut down. The buying and selling of goods at utility stores nationwide was completely ended from August 1. The federal government has moved all food items and other goods from the stores to warehouses. The ERP system of the Utility Stores Corporation has also been completely shut down from August 1.
