The statement of the dumper driver who hit a motorcycle-riding family on Rashid Minhas Road has come forward, in which he said, “I was driving the dumper slowly, the motorcycle fell on its own.”
According to details, yesterday in Karachi’s Federal B Area on Rashid Minhas Road, a speeding dumper ran over a motorcycle, as a result of which a brother and sister were killed and the father was seriously injured. Those who died included 22-year-old Mah Noor and 14-year-old Ahmed Raza.
After this accident, enraged individuals set fire to 7 dumpers in the area. Heavy contingents of police and Rangers reached the scene of the accident, brought the situation under control, and took the dumper driver into custody.
However, now the dumper driver said, “My name is Firdous and the owner’s name is Sarkhan Rasool. I was driving the dumper slowly, the motorcycle riders themselves fell. I could not see how the motorcycle came under the dumper.”
Driver Khan Rasool, regarding the vehicle’s documents, said, “The documents are in the vehicle and also at home. The public took my mobile phone and the vehicle keys; there was a mobile, money, CNIC, and license — now I have nothing.”
