Four months after suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of Pakistan, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh has made the absurd claim that India destroyed six aircraft — including five Pakistani fighter jets.
According to the Indian Air Chief, the Indian Air Force targeted Pakistani airfields and destroyed aircraft stationed there.
However, this claim comes four months after the incident, and India has so far failed to present any credible evidence to support it.
It is worth noting that immediately after the aerial battle on May 7, Pakistan had publicly released details of downing multiple Indian fighter jets, including Rafales — a fact corroborated by several reports in the Indian media.
Additionally, the Pakistan Air Force had intercepted and released cockpit communications from Indian pilots during the engagement.
The information provided by Pakistan’s military was widely acknowledged domestically and even partially verified by certain Indian media outlets.
On social media, users have mocked A.P. Singh’s statement as a joke, ridiculing its timing and credibility. Analysts point out that after the crushing defeat, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been under immense pressure and is attempting to mislead his people to erase the stain of failure.
However, all such efforts have failed, as Pakistan’s victory continues to resonate more strongly with each passing day.
