After the arrest of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Iqbal, shocking revelations have come to light, in which he confessed to owning properties worth crores of rupees.
According to details, a strange story of corruption and extreme embezzlement has been exposed in Sialkot. Following the arrest of Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Sialkot Muhammad Iqbal, investigations by police and anti-corruption authorities uncovered properties, valuable items, and cash worth crores of rupees.
Police stated that during interrogation, Muhammad Iqbal admitted that he owns a luxury Land Cruiser vehicle, several commercial plots, and other valuable properties.
Anti-corruption officials said that so far, a Land Cruiser, a Rolex watch, files of two five-marla commercial plots, and Rs. 6.825 million received as rent from a bungalow have been recovered from the accused.
Further investigations also revealed that an amount of Rs. 49.15 million is yet to be recovered from Muhammad Iqbal. Police have obtained an extension in the accused’s physical remand from a Lahore court, which has granted a four-day extension.
According to anti-corruption officials, the Additional Deputy Commissioner was arrested on August 1, after the Chief Minister of Punjab was provided with solid evidence against Muhammad Iqbal by a complainant, upon which the Chief Minister directed anti-corruption authorities to take action.
