In the Indian Punjab district of Sirsa, in the village of Sawant Kheda in the Dabwali area, unknown armed individuals opened fire on the statue of Sidhu Moose Wala. After the incident, a wave of grief and anger swept through fans of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
Political and public circles strongly reacted to the firing incident on Sidhu Moose Wala’s statue, while the singer’s family called it “an attack on his soul.”
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack and warned those who respect and remember Moose Wala.

Sidhu Moose Wala’s mother, Charan Kaur, gave a heart-wrenching statement in Punjabi on Instagram, saying, “My son’s enemies will not let him rest in peace even after his death. This attack was on our memories, which has wounded our souls.”

She said that Sidhu Moose Wala was more than just an artist—he was a movement. His voice represented people’s rights, and no kind of violence can silence him.
Charan Kaur further said that their silence should not be mistaken for defeat, and the day will surely come when these criminals will meet their end.
The statue of Sidhu Moose Wala, which was affected by the recent shooting, was installed in 2023 by JJP’s state president Digvijay Chautala.
According to the Press Trust of India, on July 29, Digvijay Chautala received a video from a foreign number in which gunfire was directed at the statue, along with threats. The attackers were heard saying, “After Sidhu Moose Wala, now it’s the turn of his sympathizers.”
Police have registered a case at the Dabwali police station, and investigations are ongoing.
