Motorcycle prices in Pakistan have surged once again following recent tax reforms and the implementation of the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy introduced in the federal budget for 2025–26.
According to reports, Yamaha and Unique have announced revised prices for their motorcycle models, with the new rates effective from July 1, 2025.
Yamaha has increased the prices across its entire lineup in response to the government’s adjustments in the NEV levy and sales tax. The new price of the YB 125Z (Red/Black) is now Rs 429,000, which includes Rs 65,441 in sales tax and Rs 4,057 in NEV levy. The YB 125Z DX (Red/Black/Grey) is priced at Rs 459,500, while the popular YBR125 (Red/Grey/Black) now costs Rs 471,500.
The more robust YBR125G (Black) is priced at Rs 490,500, and the matte finish version is now the most expensive in Yamaha’s range, priced at Rs 493,500.
Following Yamaha’s announcement, Unique has also revised its motorcycle prices, effective from July 18, 2025. The company has increased the prices of all models in the UD 70cc series by Rs 3,000. The new prices are as follows:

This latest price hike is expected to place an additional financial burden on consumers, especially at a time when rising petrol prices, high inflation, and new budgetary taxes are already worsening the public’s economic challenges.
