The National Savings Centre in Rawalpindi released the results of the Rs750 prize bond draw held for July 2025 on Tuesday, announcing the winning numbers for the first and second prizes.
Officials confirmed that the draw took place at 10:00 a.m., with prize bond number 953346 winning the first prize of Rs1.5 million. The second prize of Rs500,000 each was awarded to bond numbers 294897, 651248, and 965105.
The complete list of third prize winners is expected to be published later by the Directorate of National Savings on its official website. The Rs750 prize bond remains one of the most popular denominations in Pakistan, attracting widespread participation in the quarterly draws held across the country.
Higher Tax Rates on Prize Winnings Implemented
In a related development, the federal government has announced revised tax rates on prize bond winnings. As per the new notification issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), individuals who are registered tax filers will now face a 15% withholding tax on their winnings.
For non-filers—those not registered in the tax system—the withholding tax rate has been increased to 30%.
This policy is part of broader fiscal reforms aimed at expanding the tax base and promoting financial transparency. Experts believe the increased tax on non-filers could reduce informal economic activities and incentivize more people to enter the formal tax net.
Prize Bonds: A Trusted Investment Option
Prize bonds continue to serve as a favored savings tool for millions of Pakistanis, offering both investment security and the potential for substantial cash prizes. Managed by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) in collaboration with the State Bank since the 1960s, the prize bond scheme provides protection against inflation and currency devaluation.
Available in denominations ranging from Rs100 to Rs40,000, prize bonds offer investors a range of options based on their financial goals. The recent Rs750 draw in Rawalpindi is part of a regular series of transparent and well-regulated balloting events held throughout the year.

Since its inception, the prize bond program has played a vital role in helping the government raise funds while offering the public a low-risk, government-backed investment opportunity.
As bearer instruments, prize bonds can be easily transferred without formal registration, making them accessible to a wide range of citizens. However, in recent years, authorities have introduced stricter measures to prevent misuse and enhance the system’s transparency and accountability.
