A tragic incident occurred in Ghotki’s Ronti Katcha area, where three women drowned while attempting to cross a canal, media reported on Sunday.
According to local police, the deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Ashraf Shar, 15-year-old Rani Shar, and Soni Shar, and they belonged to the Shar community.
Rescue operations were launched swiftly, and all three bodies were successfully recovered from the canal.
The local police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
Meanwhile, a tragic road accident occurred near the 24-Chak Stop on the Sanghar–Nawabshah Road, claiming the lives of two brothers.
According to the details, a motorcycle carrying two men collided with a rickshaw (phatta). Both victims—Huzoor Bux and Ghulam Rasool Brohi—died on the spot. The deceased belonged to the Brohi community and were residents of Nawabshah.
Sources said the brothers were poultry traders and frequently travelled between cities for their business. Following the accident, the rickshaw driver fled the scene.
Local police from Sanghar’s Sinjhoro Station arrived promptly at the scene. The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital Sanghar for legal formalities and post-mortem examination.
