The funeral prayer for ANP leader Maulana Khan Zaib, who was killed yesterday in Bajaur, has been offered. Thousands of people attended the funeral. Maulana Khan Zaib was laid to rest in his native area of Nawagai.
Maulana Khan Zaib, Secretary for Religious Affairs of the Awami National Party and former National Assembly candidate, had his funeral prayer offered in his native area of Nawagai. ANP’s provincial president Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Sardar Hussain Babak, Bajaur assembly members Nisar Baz, Dr. Hameed, Anwar Zaib Khan, tribal and political elders from various districts, party workers, and thousands of people participated in the funeral.
Earlier, the funeral prayer for martyred police officer Sherzada was also offered, which was attended by thousands of people. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and grief over the killing of ANP leader Maulana Khan Zaib in Bajaur. The Prime Minister termed it a cowardly and targeted attack.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing sorrow over the killing of Maulana Khan Zaib in Bajaur, said that the deceased was a very pious man and a passionate advocate for peace. The Prime Minister extended heartfelt condolences to Maulana Khan Zaib’s family, associates, and the people of Bajaur, and prayed for the departed soul’s forgiveness.
