A youngman was tortured to death by his father for allegedly having friendship with transgenders in Orangi Town, Karachi on Wednesday, police said.
Iqbal Market Police Station SHO Sher Muhammad said that the police have arrested the father of a youth named Ali Khan in Raja Tanveer Colony.
According to the police officer, the accused said that his son had friendly relations with transgenders and used to meet them often. The father said that he had instructed his son to stay away from them several times, but he did not stop.
The father, according to police, first electrocuted his sons, and then killed him with a shovel. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal action.
The accused, who reportedly has a conservative mindset, has not expressed any remorse for the murder. The police are now waiting for medical confirmation whether the deceased was actually given electric shocks.
Meanwhile, in another shocking incident, a son-in-law lost his temper after a heated argument with his in-laws in Karachi’s Orangi Town area and opened fire, killing three people, including his father-in-law.
Police reached the spot as soon as they received the information and arrested the father and relative of the absconding son-in-law and recovered weapons from the scene. Police officials say that the deceased Ghausuddin had come to his daughter’s house with his relatives. During this, the son-in-law opened fire after a heated argument.
The deceased have been identified as Ghausuddin, Gulbat Khan, and Amin. According to the police, the main accused who shot and killed 3 people have been arrested. A pistol was recovered near the deceased.
According to the authorities, the deceased Ghausuddin had gone to his daughter’s house with his relatives. During this, a heated argument broke out, and his son-in-law, his father, and relatives opened fire. The arrested accused include the deceased’s daughter’s father-in-law and relative, accused Rehmat.
