Iranian Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, the Quds Force Chief who was believed to be killed in initial Israeli attacks on Iran, has resurfaced on Tuesday evening at a public celebration in Tehran.
Iran’s Tasnim News Agency posted a video, showing Qaani among the crowd at the event with caption “Commander Qaani attends today’s gathering of the people of Tehran following Operation Divine Victory.”
State-funded Press TV also released the video, reporting: “Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, Commander of the IRGC Quds Force, was warmly welcomed by a jubilant crowd in Tehran during celebrations marking victory over the Zionist (Israeli) regime.”

Earlier this month, the New York Times reported that Qaani was among the Iranian military officials killed in Israeli airstrikes.
Following 12 days of aerial conflict between the two regional adversaries, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire overnight to bring an end to hostilities between Israel and Iran.
