More than 14,000 people were injured in Türkiye on the first day of Eid al-Adha while slaughtering sacrificial animals.
According to Türkiye’s Minister of Health, a total of 14,372 people were brought to hospitals on Friday, the first day of Eid. Among them, 1,049 were injured in Ankara, 753 in Istanbul, and 655 in Konya during the process of animal slaughter.
The Health Minister urged citizens to seek assistance from professional butchers during slaughter to avoid unnecessary injuries.
It is worth noting that nearly 16,000 people were injured in Türkiye during the animal sacrifice process on Eid al-Adha last year.
