The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), has predicted many parts of the country likely to receive rain and thunderstorms today.
As per the prediction, Murree, Galiyat, and Rawalpindi expected to receive showers with the presence of strong winds and hail. The same pattern is likely forecasted for Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Abbottabad, where the storms could have a go, bringing both, cooling relief and the threat of hail damage.
Intense windstorms and heavy rain have been forecasted for Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, and Buner. Malakand, Waziristan, Kohat, Hangu, and Lakki Marwat may face similar conditions.
Tribal districts such as Bajaur, Mohmand, Karak, and Khyber, as well as provincial capital, Peshawar, are under a similar threat of strong winds with hail as well.
The central and northern Punjab have been at the core of this weather activity. Neighboring cities of Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, and Gujrat are likely to brace for thunder and hail, while Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, and Narowal are also in the way of the storm system.
In the central belt, more rain is expected today for Lahore, Sahiwal, Kasur, Okara, and Faisalabad, with possibilities of hailstorm and strong winds.
The neighboring districts of Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, and Sargodha might also see similar developments.
In the west further, the cities of Mianwali and Dera Ghazi Khan are preparing to face the storms. Some places in Sindh such as Sukkur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, and Larkana have been identified as areas likely to witness strong winds and rains. The weather will also affect Shaheed Benazirabad, Khairpur, and other adjoining areas.
